This is a beautiful, luxurious, custom-tailored lace and Italian silk red Cheongsam. I wore this dress for the Chinese tea ceremony on my wedding day.
It was hand-made by a renowned seamstress based in Kuala Lumpur, and is made of red Italian silk and lace with gold threading. The inner lining of the Cheongsam is also Italian silk.
The top half of the gown is adorned meticulously with red lace and gold thread, and its Chinese collar also features beautiful gold threading, with a delicate ornament marking the front and centre of the collar.
My favourite part of the dress, the back, is soft mesh, giving it a conservative yet alluring twist. There are red buttons running down the back.
It has two slits on each side of the gown, and a miniature train.
I paid approximately AUD1,500 at the time for this dress (RM4,500). If you are a size 6 and approximately 163 cm, you will be able to fit into this dress. I wore 5 inch heels that day.
I absolutely love this dress and I will never forget how it made me feel - beautiful, elegant, regal.
